The Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. Here began the history of America and includes the oldest buildings created by the Spaniards, for example: the first administrative offices, the first cathedral, the Alcazar de Colón, the former residence of Christopher Columbus’s son, the Dominican Convent (the first monastery in the Americas) and Ozama Fortress (the oldest fortress of America).
The Colonial Zone also has beautiful parks and squares. Parque Colón, in front of the cathedral, is the perfect place to take a break and people watch. Plaza de España is a huge square with some of the best restaurants in the area.

-Tres Ojos National Park: in its cave you will find one of the most important tourist destinations in the park, the fresh water lake that rests inside.
-Columbus Lighthouse: monument and museum dedicated to Christopher Columbus, discoverer of the New World.
-Colonial City: historical and leisure center of Santo Domingo.
13:30 -We will make a stop on our tour to taste the typical Dominican food in a restaurant in downtown Santo Domingo. After lunch we will visit some of the most important buildings in Santo Domingo, for which you will have to buy tickets depending on where you are going to go:
-Alcazar de Colon or Viceroyal Palace of Don Diego Colon.
– Santa Maria Cathedral.
-Amber Museum.
– Rum Museum.
– Royal Houses Museum.
